I had a strange episode last year and my doctor had no idea what caused it.
After about 6 months of not eating salmon, I'd eaten it a couole of times. Around the same time, however, I'd been pulling oil with coxonut oil for about 2 weeks. I don't know if it was the coconut oil, the actual oil pulling, or the salmon, but my joints were very swollen for 7 to 10 days. I do not have an arthritic condition and I tested negative for Lyme. I stopped using the coconut oil and haven't eaten salmon since. I really want to know what could have caused this but I'm apprehensive about eating salmon again for fear that it might induce some other type of reaction.
Has anyone either experienced or heard of such an allergic reaction?

I haven't heard of it, but that doesn't mean it isn't an allergic reaction.

Allergies certainly are known to cause inflammation.
