Default When to start and stop Adrenalin injections when dealing with anaphlaxis?

Open Question - Yahoo

When to start and stop Adrenalin injections when dealing with anaphlaxis?

Answer

You take Adrenalin (Epinephrine) injections (Epi-pen) at the first sign of an anaphylactic reaction. It is meant to provide a temporary response to a reaction that will slow or stop the symptoms for a brief period of time while seeking medical care. If the symptoms come back before you can get treatment, in an ER for example, then it is usually recommended that you re-inject. That is one of the reasons why it is recommended that you carry two pens. The other is that an auto-injector might fail. Epinephrine is not used singly to treat a reaction. Usually IVs. oxygen, H1 & H2 blockers, and steroids are used as well.
